TWIS Winter Festival Concert

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, one of the greatest Russian composers, once said, “Music is heaven’s gift to humanity.” The sudden and unexpectedly repeated Covid-19 has made 2020 a year full of uncertainties and challenges. Aiming to give everyone a warm and healing gift in the difficult moment, TWIS WINTER FESTIVAL CONCERT has been carried out, in which performers express their emotions of caring for humans and concern about the world through music.

The TWIS Winter Concert opened with a magnificent chorus of “Adiemus” and a popular song “Sing” which represents embracing cultural diversity and giving hope to mankind in difficult times. The wonderful repertoire includes the classical piano solo “The Cuckoo”, the pop song “Every Brand New Day”, the classic Christmas song “Blue Christmas”. There are also popular songs “See You Again” re-arranged by our music teacher Mr. Richard and the piano song “Dream starry sky” by Joe Hisaishi.

Instrumental Performances are indispensable for a perfect concert! Djembes, keyboards, ukuleles, guitars, flutes, pianos… the performers carried their expectations for the New Year with notes and singing, which won the applause of the delighted audience.
